What's in my School Bag?

I always get really confused by how school holidays are so different everywhere. I was back at school on Wednesday, but most English schools don’t return until the start of next month and it's completely different in America too! Although it does mean I start my summer holiday earlier here in Scotland (and we all still end up with the same amount of time off overall), it always make it more painful returning when most people have ages left of summer holidays.

Having said that though, going back to school hasn't been that bad at all. And being the complete geek that I am, I've actually really enjoyed starting to learn my new courses! Although I'm now down to just five subjects for my Highers, my school bag is already jam packed full of bits and pieces. I thought it'd be fun to have a bit of a breakdown of what's in my new Herschel school bag!

The labelled contents of my schoolbag for S5.
  • phone
  • water bottle (I absolutely love my periodic table bottle from Paperchase!)
  • lunch box
  • lots of vegan snacks
  • pencil case
    • rainbow biro pens
    • pencils
    • scientific calculator
    • ruler
    • protractor
    • highlighter
    • rubber
  • glasses (and glasses case)
  • purse
  • timetable
  • umbrella (which I have a very bad habit of forgetting, even though it’s almost constantly raining in Glasgow!)
  • headphones
  • keys
  • subject folders (I’m doing 5 Highers this year)
    • Maths
    • English
    • Biology
    • Chemistry
    • Physics
  • body spray
  • lip balm
  • planner

And as if that's not already loads of stuff, I wouldn't be surprised if my bag gets even heavier (and my life get's even busier) in the weeks to come! For this reason, future blog posts may be a bit shorter and more infrequent, but I'll try my best to keep it going as I really enjoy doing it.

I can't decide if it's more scary or exciting to realise that the exams I'm sitting this year pretty much determine my future... Yeah, let's not think about that too much!
